The weather outside is frightful, but a bike ride is so delightful. Bundle up and join us on a festive, winter ride around the streets of Ann Arbor.

Join us again for another great winter ride!

Great Routes, Late Bike Parking, Delicious Food! The fourteenth annual Worst Day of the Year Ride will take place on Sunday, January 19th 2020. This FREE event always promises to be a fun filled, snowy day of riding. We will offer a variety of routes for you to choose from including:

  • POLAR BEAR RIDE - 40 miles  12:30pm
  • POLAR CUB RIDE - 20 miles  1:00pm
  • MOUNTAIN BIKE/DIRT ROAD RIDE - 16 miles 1:15pm
  • (ride dependent on dirt road conditions)
  • ABOMINABLE SNOW MAN RIDE - Fat Bike Only! 1:30pm
  • (ride dependent on trail conditions)
  • REINDEER RIDE - 12 miles  1:45pm

(HELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL RIDES!)

All rides will be led by ride captains and will be at a casual pace. The Polar Bear ride will have a fast group leading the charge with moderate paced ride captains following the faster riders.

Maps to the event are available on Strava. You will be provided with printed route maps on the day of the event.

All rides leave from the Kerry Town Farmer's market, where Zingerman's Deli will be providing hot chocolate and pre-ride treats while you check in for your ride.

We once again end the ride at the Conor O'Neill's where there will be free hot soup, valet bike parking (until 5pm), and cash bar. A full menu will also be available for those that want to purchase additional food.

Be part of the tradition!

Come see why people come from as far as Grand Rapids and Canada for this ride. Ride with a great group of people and enjoy giving your bike a break from the trainier. Good people, good riding, good fun, and the joy of Michigan weather. By the way, and did we mention, it's free?
