This is a modern interpretation of the wind shell jacket, the one you keep in your pocket for a long descent or put on for the first hour of the ride until the day warms up. That jacket used to be a simple affair — a nylon shell — but the lack of stretch meant that it had to be cut on the generous side to fit all body shapes, both on and off the bike.
We've completely reimagined what the shell jacket should be and how it's constructed. We've added panels on the sides and the sleeves in a very high-stretch yet tightly knit fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, close-to-body fit for aero gains on any terrain, and it actually keeps more heat in than a jacket that's flapping about. We've kept it very compact so that it can pack away into minimal space in a jersey pocket.
The stretch panels are treated for water repellency, which will help in a light mist, but this is not meant to be a true rain jacket.
- Coated ripstop nylon front and back and front of sleeves to keep wind off
- Tightly knit stretch panels on sides and sleeves allow for perfect fit
- High collar to keep drafts out
- Reflective details on chest and lower back for low-light visibility

IF YOU HAD JUST ONE JACKET
The Perfetto RoS is the one jacket that does everything well. We initially designed it as a cool-weather training and extreme-weather race piece for our pro riders, but in reality, it excels in many conditions thanks to its full wind protection, great fit through stretchy fabrics, and best-in-class breathability.
Winter 2019 represents the biggest performance upgrade in the four generations of this jacket. RoS in the name signifies Rain or Shine. The emphasis should be on dry-weather comfort, which is where this jacket really excels, but then you get near waterproof protection if you do get caught in the rain. We worked with Gore to develop two new Castelli exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER fabrics. We use a light fleece-lined water-resistant version on the forward-facing surfaces and a lighter, stretchier fabric on the back that maintains the breathability of the previous fabric while improving water repellency at the same time.
The Perfetto RoS is that ideal weight: no built-in insulation so you can layer over a light base layer for moderate conditions. Or you can add a thermal jersey underneath and take it to very cold conditions. You decide.
The Perfetto family features are all there: excellent fit, easy-sliding YKK zipper, long tail to protect from wheel-spray, reflective panel on the back, and discreet styling that belies the jacket's racing pedigree.
This is the one jacket that belongs in every cyclist's quiver.
- Castelli exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM 205 Warm brushed waterproof fabric on front-facing surfaces
- GORE-TEX INFINIUM 203 Stretch on rear-facing surfaces for extra stretch and breathability
- Taped shoulder seams for extra rain protection
- YKK Vislon zipper for easy sliding, covered for extra wind and rain protection
- Zippered ventilation opening on side of chest
- 2 rear pockets with pump sleeve are easily accessed with gloved hands
- Gabba-style dropped tail with large black reflective panel
- 4°-14°C / 39°-57°F
- Weight: 305g

PERFETTO VEST IS NOW EVEN MORE PERFECT
The Perfetto Vest has been a favorite with everyone from our pro riders to Castelli staff to performance cyclists everywhere. But we wanted to make it even more perfect, so we developed a new exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER fabric that is both lighter and more water repellent than the old fabric while maintaining the stretch and breathability. We matched it up with better water repellency in the back while maintaining the breathability, and further improved details like the back pockets and reflectivity.
A more perfect Perfetto Vest.

If you're looking for just one jacket to do it all, start here.
We used our lightest GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER three-layer stretch fabric, which makes it great for milder conditions, and the stretch gives it a great fit. It's the same outer fabric as we use for our Alpha RoS 2 Jacket, called "The benchmark in how the best winter jackets should perform" by Cyclingnews.com, but the Go Jacket forgoes the Alpha's integrated liner so you can decide how much insulation you need. Add a Flanders Warm base layer and thermal jersey to extend the comfort range to subfreezing temperatures.
But the fabric is only the start. We've tailored the fit to be close to body but not too close. It gives a good drape to the jacket, rounded out by details like the no-sew finishing to the hem and the zippered colored chest pocket. The hidden internal cuffs are a nice comfort touch, and you'll appreciate how they eliminate drafts from the wrist. There are three pockets on the back, with a large reflective strip stretching across the entire bottom of the pockets for nighttime visibility.
Where does this jacket fit in our line? It's similar in warmth to the Perfetto RoS Long Sleeve, but it has a more tailored and elegant look, with a slightly more relaxed fit, and it's not quite as protective in wet weather.
- Full soft-shell construction with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER 150 keeps cold wind out while offering exceptional breathability
- Excellent stretch with a neutral fit for extra comfort
- Internal stretch wrist closure for perfect glove interface
- Zippered chest pocket
- YKK Vislon zipper with rubberized zipper pull
- No-sew waist construction for clean, technical look
- 3 rear pockets
- Large reflective strip across pockets for low-light visibility

The long-sleeve Gabba is one of our most versatile pieces. 100% wind protection with GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER water protection and best-in-class breathability. With a light base layer it's good for mild temperatures, or with a thermal layer you can ride it below freezing. If you have just one jacket in your cycling wardrobe, this should be it.
- Castelli-exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER 205 Warm brushed water-resistant fabric on front-facing surfaces
- GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER 203 Stretch on rear-facing surfaces for greater stretch and breathability
- Taped shoulder seams for extra rain protection
- Top- and bottom-opening YKK Vislon zipper for easy sliding, covered for additional wind and rain protection
